Manager LOCATION: Jupiter, FL/Stuart FL. STATUS: Salary Exempt Job
Summary: The Warehouse & Shipping Manager oversees all warehousing,
shipping, receiving, and material handling operations across two
facilities supporting industrial gas turbine manufacturing and
repair. This role drives operational excellence through leadership,
safety, and process optimization while ensuring cost-effective,
compliant, and customer-focused material flow. The Manager partners
closely with Supply Chain, Transportation, Quality, and Production
to ensure accurate inventory control, on-time deliveries, and
adherence to all regulatory and company standards. Essential duties
& responsibilities The essential functions of the job include the
following: Lead and develop multi-site warehouse teams including
supervisors, clerks, and forklift operators. Establish staffing
plans, assign priorities, and monitor KPIs for safety, accuracy,
and productivity. Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and
continuous improvement. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and
corrective actions where appropriate. Develop and maintain Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions to ensure
consistent execution and compliance. Support training and
professional growth to build internal strength for future
leadership roles. Provide strategic oversight of all inbound and
outbound logistics activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and
timely delivery across facilities. Direct and evaluate warehouse
supervisors to ensure consistent execution of receiving, shipping,
and documentation processes. Establish performance standards for
material flow, storage optimization, and handling of large,
serialized, and customer-owned turbine components. Ensure inventory
management practices and cycle count programs are effective,
auditable, and aligned with corporate KPIs. Verify that proper
packaging, labeling, and material protection methods are
implemented and maintained for high-value and oversized components.
Review operational data and reports from site supervisors to
identify trends, resolve bottlenecks, and implement corrective
actions as needed. Provide leadership and oversight for all
shipping and transportation functions, ensuring alignment with
production and customer delivery schedules. Direct the Shipping
Supervisor and logistics staff in executing outbound and expedited
shipments with accuracy, safety, and on-time performance. Establish
and enforce standards for documentation accuracy, including bills
of lading, packing lists, and export/customs compliance. Coordinate
with Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service to prioritize
shipments and resolve logistics constraints proactively. Maintain
transportation performance data (freight costs, carrier
reliability, and transit times) and drive continuous improvement in
service and cost efficiency. Serve as primary escalation point for
critical or delayed shipments and customer delivery concerns.
Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and EHS regulations,
maintaining all training, inspection, and certification records.
Conduct and support site safety audits, incident investigations,
and corrective actions. Oversee maintenance and inspection programs
for forklifts and other MHE. Lead lean and 5S initiatives to reduce
waste, improve throughput, and enhance quality. Monitor and report
warehouse KPIs including on-time shipping, inventory accuracy, and
cost metrics; prepare dashboards for leadership review. Manage
warehouse operating budgets, equipment purchases, and maintenance
costs. Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities through
process improvements, layout redesign, and vendor optimization.
participate in capital planning for warehouse infrastructure and
technology upgrades (SAP, WMS, etc.)Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain,
Logistics, Operations, (or equivalent experience). 5 years of
progressive warehouse and logistics leadership (multi-site
experience strongly preferred). Proven ability to lead high-volume,
fast-paced operations with measurable results. Strong understanding
of OSHA, DOT, and environmental safety standards. Proficiency in
SAP or similar ERP systems; strong skills in Microsoft Excel and
PowerPoint. Excellent analytical, communication, and
problem-solving abilities. Physical Requirements Climbing ascending
or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps and the like,
using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Balancing maintaining
body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or
crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
Stooping/Crouching bending body downward and forward by bending
spine at the waist. Kneeling bending legs at knee to come to a rest
on knee or knees. Reaching extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any
direction. Standing particularly for sustained periods of time
Walking moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for
long distances or moving from one work site to another. Pushing &
Pulling Lifting up to 50 lbs raising objects from a lower to a
higher position or moving objects horizontally from
position-to-position. Grasping applying pressure to an object with
the fingers and palm. Repetitive motion substantial movements
(motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is
required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such
as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing
a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving
small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including
inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or
fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. The worker is
subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside
and outside. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient
noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above
ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a
variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving
mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to
high heat or exposure to chemicals. The worker is required to
function in narrow aisles or passageways. Being able to wear
required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as respirators,
