Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with expertise in the Operating Room (OR) setting is sought for a contract role located in Fort Myers, FL. This position requires a minimum of two years of OR nursing experience, with pediatric (PEDS) experience being essential. The role involves providing care to both adult and pediatric patients across a wide variety of surgical services, including ENT, general surgery, vascular and endovascular procedures, robotics, dental, gynecology, orthopedics, spine, and neurosurgery. Qualifications / Desired Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience Pediatric experience required BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred Experience using Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred Degree accreditation must be documented on the profile or candidate must have 5 years of experience Ability to float to other units or sister campuses within a 50-mile radius of permanent address Shift / Schedule: Wednesday: 10:30 AM 11:00 PM Thursday & Friday: 6:30 AM 7:00 PM On-call responsibilities averaging approximately 4 times per month, with various call shifts (evening, overnight, or backup call) Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment Collaborate closely with surgical teams to support patient safety and care coordination Function seamlessly as part of the core OR team with an emphasis on cultural integration and professionalism Maintain compliance with hospital policies and documentation requirements, including timely submission of all demographic and licensure information Location Overview: Fort Myers, FL, offers a vibrant and growing healthcare community with access to world-class medical facilities.
